Search Engines
These guides aim to help you move away from the big tech monopolies. By using their search engines, you give them control over what you consume and the services you discover. An example is Google giving paid results preferential placement and has even been fined for manipulating its “genuine” results. This category is an easy-to-moderate switch. There are excellent options ranging from better to slightly worse results, based on their source. Regardless, none offer a comparable service to Google Maps, so is still encouraged to use it separately for a like-to-like experience. Additional resources: Quality & Source Analysis
